2014 Gulf Coast Water Conservation Symposium

The 2014 Gulf Coast Water Conservation Symposium theme was “Capitalizing on Water Conservation: Benefits, Opportunities, Requirements, & Lessons Learned.”

Water conservation will play an important role in meeting future water supply needs for the Gulf Coast region.  Presentations and discussions focused on defining the role of water conservation in meeting the future water supply needs of the Gulf Coast region, impacts from the 83rd legislature on conservation and water supply funding, updating conservation and drought contingency plans, regional water conservation education  strategies, smart investment in water supply infrastructure, and the benefits of practical and efficient conservation programs.
